I’m a 20+ year Lake Highlands/East Dallas resident. We moved in because of the schools and have stayed because of the community. All three of our kiddos have gone through RISD schools from Moss Haven Elementary, to Forest Meadow Junior High to Lake Highlands High School. We have a college sophomore at Texas A&M, a high school senior on his way to Colorado State in the fall and a high school sophomore who is a Highlandette. I’m all about the kids in our community – anything we can do to lift them up I’m all in. I was part of the team that started Forerunner Mentoring about a decade ago and continue to serve our kids through that organization and also through Lake Highlands Young Life.
